If you’re in the market for an EV there are a lot more choices with 200+ mile range beyond Tesla. In this video we take a closer look at the 2020 Bolt EV from Chevy, now with even more range.

Wait GM stepped up and improved their interiors, that can’t be right! Oh it is being compared to a Model 3 interior, ne ver mind.

We drove the Tesla 3, Bolt and Volt last year when shopping for my wife. We would have bought t he B olt if not for the terribly uncomfortable seats, specifically the headrests. They stick forward so far that the car was horrible to be in. Thinking I’m sm a rt, I tried to pull them and put them in backwards. Nope.

Seems to be a common complaint. People will take them apart, bend things, pull out padding etc. I prefer to buy well designed stuff though. Ended up finding a used 3yr old Volt for $16k with 10k miles on it. Couldn’t pass on the deal and a year later we are still very happy with it aside from Chevy’s desire to make EVERY DAMN THING BEEP AND CHIME CONSTANTLY! Seriously, it’s like there was a clear an ce on beeps, and they stocked up. It’s annoying enough that this may end up being my last GM product.

Going to have to watch this during my lunch break. We got our 2020 Bolt in January, been meaning to do an Oppo review of it. Love the car for what it is, but currently wishing I had a way to get rid of it (or just get it after I start commuting again) because it’s just a driveway decoration (along with the two other cars) I’m paying $230 a month for. Gotta tell myself to think long term and that I have 32 months left on this lease so it will get plenty of use in that period.

Also to everyone comparing this to a Model 3, I just don’t get it. If you’re comparing sticker prices, sure. Understand that Tesla doesn’t negotiate – but if you’re paying sticker on a Bolt, or any GM, you’re doing it wrong. $44k for a Bolt compared to $40k for a base Model 3, of course the Tesla is the better car and you’d have to be nuts to pay that much money for a Bolt . The leased price on my Bolt was $25k, even lower for a base model – at that price it’s no comparison, they’re very different market segments (like comparing a Corolla hatch to a BMW 3 series).

Ask a tesla owner this question. It's probably like asking someone in Georgia if Pepsi is okay lol
